The email came out of the blue to Scott Tarter, a high profile sports and entertainment attorney at one of the city’s largest law firms. “You know how you get so much junk in your email?’ said Tarter, with Bose McKinney & Evans. “I actually almost deleted it. Then I thought, ‘No. Let me look into this.’ ” The mere moments it took for Tarter to read that email changed everything.
