The Foundation congratulates the former ABA players who were inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The hall of fame inductees to date are:
- Artis Gilmore (Kentucky Colonels)
- Mel Daniels (Indiana Pacers)
- Roger Brown (Indiana Pacers)
- David Thompson (Denver Nuggets)
- Bobby “Slick” Leonard (Coach, Indiana Pacers)
In recent years there has been increased exposure to what these players meant to the game of basketball and what it is today. ABA players faced real hardships playing in a league that paid its players nowhere near what players are paid today. Among this exposure, a recent documentary by Dropping Dimes Foundation Operations Board Member, film producer Ted Green explores the amazing stories behind the life of recent hall of fame inductee, Roger Brown in Undefeated: The Roger Brown Story.
Mr. Green is also released a documentary entitled Bobby “Slick” Leonard: Heart of a Hoosier that gives an in depth look into the fascinating life and basketball career of another recent hall of fame inductee, Slick Leonard.
